Legacy Award Scholarship
The Lakeland Booster Club is proud to offer $5,000 total for the Sawyer Plumbing Legacy Award scholarships to the Lakeland graduating class of 2025! $2,500 for one qualifying girl, $2,500 for one qualifying boy.
Sawyer Plumbing Legacy Award Scholarship Nomination Requirements:
1. Lakeland Student, in good standing (has not been suspended from school or their sport(s)) and on track to graduate in the current year.
2. Must have competed in 3 sports all 4 years at the high school level.
3. Must provide a letter of recommendation from 1 Coach AND 1 Educator (2 total at a minimum).
4. Plans to attend a technical/vocational school, two-year junior or community college, or a 4 year college or university.
5. Parents/Guardian’s must have an active membership &/or sponsorship of the Lakeland Booster Club by 12/31/2024.
6. Students submit an application and are selected by a Scholarship Committee.
Application Deadline
Applications for the current years scholarships will be available starting in March of each year. All applications must be completed and returned to Ms. Paquette no later than the end of April.
Please ensure you meet the eligibility criteria listed above before completing and submitting the application available with Ms. Paquette, the College and Career Advisor. All questions must be answered.
Evidence of College Admission
If you are selected to receive a Merit Scholarship, you must provide a copy of your written offer of admission from the college, university, or post-secondary education institution you will attend. All scholarship payments will be sent directly to the college of choice by the scholarship winner.
Winner Contact Info
Contact information must be supplied to the Booster Club upon winning a scholarship. Contact info must include Name, Phone Number, & Non-school Email Address.
Forfeiture
In the event the scholarship winner does not enroll in post-secondary education for the first semester after graduating from Lakeland High School, the scholarship will revert back to the Lakeland Booster Club.
An alternate recipient will be given the scholarship in the event the principal recipient does not accept the scholarship at the time of selection.
