LBC Athletic/Activities Scholarship
The Lakeland Booster Club is proud to offer athletic based scholarships to the Lakeland graduating class.
Athletic/Activities Scholarship Nomination Requirements:
1. Lakeland Student, in good standing (has not been suspended in their Junior or Senior years) and on track to graduate in the current year.
2. Must have been in sports &/or other activities all four years in high school.
3. Must provide a letter of recommendation from 1 Coach AND 1 Educator (2 total at a minimum).
4. Plans to attend a technical/vocational school, 2 year junior or community college, or a 4 year college or university.
5. Parents/Guardian’s must have an active membership &/or sponsorship of the Lakeland Booster Club for a minimum 2 years (c/o '26 1 year minimum) with a minimum Green Level Membership ($100), or at least two years volunteering as a Non-Executive or Executive Booster Board Member.
6. Students submit an application and are selected by a Scholarship Committee.
Application Deadline
Applications for the current year's scholarships will be available starting in March of each year. All applications must be completed no late than mid-April. (exact dates TBD each year)
Please ensure you meet the eligibility criteria listed above before completing and submitting the application available online. All questions must be answered. Evidence of College Admission
If you are selected to receive a Merit Scholarship, you must provide a copy of your written offer of admission from the college, university, or post-secondary education institution you will attend. All scholarship payments will be sent directly to the college of choice by the scholarship winner.
Winner Contact Info
Contact information must be supplied to the Booster Club upon winning a scholarship. Contact info must include Name, Phone Number, & Non-school Email Address.
Forfeiture
In the event the scholarship winner does not enroll in post-secondary education for the first semester after graduating from Lakeland High School, the scholarship will revert back to the Lakeland Booster Club.
An alternate recipient will be given the scholarship in the event the principal recipient does not accept the scholarship at the time of selection.
